"A born to be Safe account" is a bank account we can open for children from day 1, the day of birth, in a Swiss triple A bank.
The account is opened by the parents but the name on the account is the child’s name.
The money will remain in the account until the 18th birthday of the child who will then receive full power of attorney.
During the 18 years the parents can eventually use the money on the account but only if it’s in favor of the child like for example medical reasons or education. Adding money on the account is allowed at any time but always in favor of the child.
The parents decide in coordination with the bank how the money in the account will be invested.
As the child receives the full power of attorney at the age of 18, many doors will open in Switzerland as like becoming a Swiss resident, going to Swiss university or working in Switzerland.
